What inks do you use for clothing printing?
Within our activity, there are several different inks we use, depending on the clothing customization method.
- For screen printing, we use plastisol inks. These inks create a smooth layer, giving your work vibrant and realistic colors. Perfect for projects that require vibrant colors;
- For direct printing, we use water-based inks with environmental certifications like Eco Passport from OEKO TEX and GOTS certified to ensure they are as environmentally friendly as possible. The fact that they are water-based inks also means that the color may not be as vivid and vibrant as in methods like screen printing. However, in jobs where we apply the white base (colored clothing), the colors can be quite vibrant;
- For DTF, we also use water-based inks with environmental certifications similar to direct printing; however, as it is not an immediate transfer method from ink to clothing, it allows for more vibrant and uniform tones in its application.
